PennyJunkies is a website dedicated solely to blunt, honest, and objective personal finance.
In most things in life, there’s a right way and a wrong way to do things. You’d never get that impression from most personal finance sites. Most personal finance sites are severely capped by their unwillingness to offend people.
The classic example is credit cards. Most sites will say something along the lines of, “If you’re consistently carrying a credit card balance, make sure you pick one with the lowest interest rates.”
We think that’s stupid advice meant for stupid people. What we would say is, “If you’re consistently carrying a credit card balance, you’re an idiot and you need to get your s*** together.”
Why would we something like that? Well, because it’s the truth. And sometimes to get on the right track, you need to hear cold, harsh reality and not some meaningless sugar-coated fluff. We’re all adults here right?
So that’s what we do. In all of our articles, tutorials, reviews, or whatever else we write, we’re going to be straight up with all of you. We aren’t going to pull any punches. You’ll get the brutal, honest truth every single time.
Many of you will have your feelings hurt. Some of you will just get mad and say, “This site is crap and they don’t know what they’re talking about.” And those readers will leave and never come back. Bye!
The rest of will take that anger and convert it into something more productive. Motivation. Motivation to improve your financial knowledge. Motivation to start climbing that corporate ladder. Motivation to not live a life of perpetual debt. Motivation to just be better.
You can do it!
But sharing our knowledge with readers through tutorials, articles, and reviews is a very small part of what we want to achieve. These are things that you could probably easily figure out on your own, there’s literally millions of other resources out there.
Our real goal is to create a community of voracious pennyjunkies.
What the hell is a pennyjunky you ask?
A pennyjunky is somebody with a ravenous appetite for upward mobility, financial success, and overall self-fulfillment. A pennyjunky is somebody who will stop at nothing to achieve his or her dreams. A pennyjunky is somebody who has the wisdom to accept candid advice from others. A penny junky is somebody who won’t let pride hold them back from fixing their mistakes.
And most importantly, a pennyjunky is somebody who shares their successes and failures with others so that the community as a whole can collectively benefit from these experiences.
See the big forum button on top? Yeah, click that and start telling your story.
Anyways, that’s what we’re all about. If you got to this point you might need psychiatric help. Who reads an entire About page? Psychopath….
